We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead the development and architecture of our SaaS platform, which delivers machine learning models as APIs and integrates seamlessly with client infrastructures. This role is critical in driving our data and security strategy, architecting scalable and secure data flows, and ensuring that our technology solutions are robust, innovative, and aligned with both modern and legacy client systems. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to manage the engineering team and collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership:
  • Serve as the product owner for our SaaS platform, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of APIs that power our machine learning models.
  • Collaborate closely with the R&D and sales teams to align the platform’s capabilities with client needs and business goals.
  • Continuously drive the evolution of the platform, ensuring it remains cutting-edge, reliable, and scalable.

Technical Architecture:
  • Architect and manage data flows, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet the highest standards of data integrity.
  • Design and implement binding and unbinding protocols to ensure seamless integration with client infrastructures.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions that creatively integrate our platform with clients' existing legacy systems, ensuring seamless, efficient, and secure adoption of our modern technologies.

Data and Security Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for data security across all client integrations and internal systems.
  • Oversee all aspects of data architecture, ensuring that both data at rest and data in transit are protected according to industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the security team to implement and maintain robust security protocols and compliance measures.

Client Solution Architecture:
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions that marry modern technologies with legacy systems, providing clients with easy, efficient, and secure ways to integrate our platform.
  • Engage with clients to understand their infrastructure and technical needs, providing creative and effective architectural solutions.
  • Act as a technical advisor during client interactions, ensuring that proposed solutions are both practical and innovative.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and other departments to ensure alignment on product development and client needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering or architecture role, preferably within a SaaS or technology-driven company.
  • Strong expertise in software architecture, data flows, and security protocols.
  • Experience with both modern and legacy infrastructure, with a knack for designing solutions that bridge the gap between the two.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
